Mariam Alcantara

​Mariam Alcantara is a Los Angeles-based artist and educator whose deeply intimate work navigates the emotional textures of personal relationships, rituals and immigration, woven into the layered urban landscape of Los Angeles.

A 2018 MFA graduate in New Genres from UCLA, Mariam’s multidisciplinary practice blends video, felt, and embroidery, all grounded in over two decades of painting expertise.
